Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers see how screen stories work: a precise question, a clear explanation and an example that rewards close attention. Send proposals through the Contact page, selecting the editorial question option.
What we welcome
Ideas may explore screenplay choices, visual composition, sound, editing or the way a scene directs a viewer's attention. We are interested in focused explanations and comparisons that give readers a useful way to watch, rather than plot recap or claims that every detail has one fixed meaning.
What makes a strong pitch
State the central question, the main point you would make and the kind of screen example that would help readers follow it. Explain why the idea suits Prime Screen Stories, note any specialist terms that need defining and flag claims that would require supporting sources.
Before sending
Send a concise proposal rather than a completed article unless requested. Include a short description of your relevant experience if it helps explain your approach, but do not send confidential information or material you do not have permission to share. A pitch is not a promise of publication.
Every screen choice tells part of the story
Prime Screen Stories helps curious viewers notice how narrative, image and sound work together. We explain the craft in clear terms, without treating every detail as a hidden clue.
